Privacy Policy

Effective Date: August 21, 2026

Kamgar & Associates LLC ("Kamgar & Associates," "the Firm," "we," "us," or "our") is a certified public accounting firm. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect personal information belonging to visitors to our website, prospective and current clients, and other individuals who interact with us. It applies to our website and to the ordinary course of our client engagements, unless a signed engagement letter or other agreement says otherwise.

Because we provide accounting, tax, and advisory services, much of the information we handle is also governed by professional confidentiality obligations under applicable state accountancy law and IRC §7216 (governing the use and disclosure of tax return information). Where those obligations are stricter than this Policy, the stricter standard controls.

Information We Collect

We collect information that you provide directly to us, information generated through the course of an engagement, and limited information collected automatically through our website.

Information you provide to us

Information collected automatically

Providing information to us is voluntary, but declining to provide certain information, particularly information required to complete a tax filing or engagement, may prevent us from performing the requested services.

How We Use Your Information

Consistent with IRC §7216, we do not use or disclose your tax return information for purposes unrelated to preparing your return without first obtaining your written consent, except where use or disclosure is otherwise permitted by law (for example, to produce your return, or in response to a valid court order).

How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We disclose it only as necessary to serve you or as required by law, including to:

Data Retention

We retain information according to its purpose, applicable law, professional standards, engagement terms, insurance requirements, and legitimate business needs. Tax and engagement records may be retained for several years after an engagement closes; authentication, security, payment, consent, and electronic-signature records may be retained as needed to document transactions and protect the Firm and its clients. We securely delete or de-identify information when the applicable retention period ends, unless a legal hold or other obligation requires continued retention.

Data Security

We maintain administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your information, including encrypted document transmission, a secure client portal, restricted internal access, and routine review of our security practices. No system can be guaranteed completely secure, and we encourage you to safeguard your own login credentials and to avoid sending highly sensitive information (such as full Social Security numbers) over unencrypted email.

Cookies

The public website does not currently use advertising cookies or a third-party behavioral analytics service. The client portal uses browser storage and authentication technologies that are necessary to keep you signed in, protect your session, and provide requested features. Disabling these technologies may prevent the portal from operating correctly. If we later add non-essential analytics or advertising technologies, we will update this notice and provide choices where required.

To exercise any of these rights, please contact us using the information below.

Children's Privacy

Our services are directed to individuals and businesses seeking accounting and tax services and are not intended for children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
